Michele’s career began as a Receptionistwith the Great Southern Hotel Killarney and progressed within the hotel to Front Office Manager.
In 1997 Michele joined the Great Southern Hotel group sales team as Sales Executive with responsibility for the groups’ three Kerry hotels: Parknasilla, Killarney and the Torc Great Southern Hotels.
In 2005 the group sales structure changed and Michele became Sales Manager within the national sales team with responsibility for key accounts across the groups 9 hotels.
In 2006 the Great Southern Hotel group was sold and Michele was offered the position in the Great Southern Hotel Killarney as Sales & Marketing Manager with the new company.
In 2007 six months after the change of ownership the hotel was rebranded, Michele came up with the new name The Malton and spent the following three years successfully developing the new brand for a hotel that was over 153 years old!
